هدفت الدراسة إلى تعرّف واقع الحوكمة والتحديات التي تواجه تطبيق الحوكمة في وزارة التربية والتعليم في المملكة العربية السعودية، من وجهة نظر القيادات التربوية في الوزارة، وتحديد مؤشرات الأداء التي يمكن استخدامها لاكتشاف وتقييم الأداء في وزارة التربية والتعليم في المملكة، وتقديم مجموعة من الحلول الممكنة لتحسين مستوى الأداء بوزارة التربية والتعليم. استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي، وأعدت استبياناً طُبِّق على عينة عشوائية طبقية مكوّنة من 139 من القيادات التربوية بوزارة التربية والتعليم بمستوياتها الثلاثة (العليا- الوسطى- التنفيذية)، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدد من النتائج، منها: ما يتعلق بالحوكمة والسياسات التربوية، ومواءمة السياسات والتشريعات، وتطوير الهيكلية التنظيمية، ومن التحديات التي تواجه تطبيق الحوكمة غياب المعايير في اختيار القيادات الإدارية، ومن مؤشرات الاكتشاف وتقييم الأداء (إدارة الميزانية والموارد)، ومن مؤشرات الأداء (المدفوعات غير الرسمية من قبل أولياء الأمور)، ومن الحلول الممكنة لتحسين مستوى الأداء تعزيز الوازع الديني عند مسؤولي وزارة التربية والتعليم. This study aimed to know the reality of governance and the challenges facing the implementation of corporate governance at the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from the standpoint of educational leadership in the ministry, and identify performance indicators that can be used to detect and evaluate the performance of the Ministry of Education in the KSA, providing some solutions to improve performance at the Ministry of Education. The study used a descriptive approach and prepared a questionnaire to a applied on a random sample consisting of 139 of educational leadership at the Ministry of Education of the three levels (upper- middle- Executive), the study found a number of results, including: relation to governance and educational policies, and the harmonization of policies and legislation, and the development of organizational restructuring, and the challenges facing the implementation of governance absence of standards in the selection of administrative leadership, and the discovery of indicators and performance evaluation (budget and resource management), and performance indicators (unofficial payments by parents), and possible solutions to improve performance enhance the deterrent level when religious employees of the Ministry of Education.
