هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن العلاقة بين مهارة حل المشكلات لدى المرشد النفسي وبين أدائه الإرشادي، وكونت عينة الدراسة من 225 فرداً من المرشدين والمرشدات من عدة مناطق بالمملكة طبق عليهم مقياس حل المشكلات ومقياس وظائف المرشد الطلابي في المدارس. وأظهرت النتائج وجود علاقة ارتباطية بين مهارة حل المشكلات بأبعادها المختلفة وبين الأداء الإرشادي بكل محاوره. وأظهرت النتائج كذلك أن مهارة حل المشكلة بأبعادها تسهم في التنبؤ بالأداء الإرشادي بمحاوره المختلفة. كذلك لم توجد فروق دالة إحصائياً بين المرشدين والمرشدات تعزى إلى متغير النوع مهارة حل المشكلات ما عدا مهارة اتخاذ القرار. وكذلك وجدت فروق بين المرشدين والمرشدات في أدوار المرشد المرتبطة بالمحور الاجتماعي، والسلوكي، وجمع المعلومات والفروق لصالح الإناث. كما أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق راجعة لتأثير العمر إلا المرتبطة بالمحور الصحي لصالح المجموعة العمرية من 40 إلى 50 سنة. كذلك لم توجد فروق راجعة لتأثير المستوى التعليمي ولكن وجدت فروق راجعة لتأثير المرحلة التعليمية التي يعمل بها المرشد في مهارة تعريف المشكلة ومحور جمع المعلومات. This current study aims at examining the relationship between problems-solving skill by psychological counselor and his counseling performance. The sample of the study consisted of 225 male and female counselors from different regions Saudi Arabia. The participant counselors completed a problem-solving scale and counselors' tasks measures in schools. The results showed a correlation between problem-solving skill in its different dimensions and counseling performance in all of its aspects. The results also showed that solving problem skill with its dimensions contribute to the prediction of counseling performance in its different dimensions. Also, the findings of the study did show statistical differences between male and female counselors with regard to problem-solving skill except decision-making skill and counselors’ roles associated with social, behavioral, and data collection dimensions. These differences were in favor of the female counselors. Additionally, the result showed no differences attributed to the impact of age, except to aspects associated with the healthy dimension which was in favor of the age group of 40 to 50 years. Also no differences were recorded due to the impact of educational level but there were statistical differences related to educational stage in different dimensions represented in problem definition and data collection aspects.
