هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن مستوى ممارسة معلمي مدارس محافظة الطفيلة لاستراتيجيات التدريس الفعال من وجهة نظر المشرفين التربويين ومديري المدارس. ومن أجل ذلك طورت استبانه مكونة من 48 فقرة وزعت على عينة تكونت عينة الدراسة من 125 مشرفًا ومديرًا من أصل 136 شكلوا مجتمع الدراسة للعام الدراسي 2007- 2008. كشفت نتائج الدراسة عن الآتي: 1) إن مستوى ممارسة المعلمين لاستراتيجيات التدريس الفعال كان متوسطًا، فقد بلغ 3.55. 2) إن الترتيب التنازلي لاستخدام المعلمين لاستراتيجيات التدريس الفعال جاءت كما يلي: الطرائق المرضية، تليها الطرائق التفاعلية، تليها الطرائق الكشفية والعملية. 3) عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لأي من متغيرات (المركز الوظيفي، والخبرة، والمؤهل العلمي، والنوع) في تقدير مستوى ممارسة المعلمين لاستراتيجيات التدريس الفعال. وقد انتهت الدراسة إلى عدة توصيات من أبرزها أهمية إعادة النظر في برامج إعداد وتدريب المعلمين. This study aimed at exploring the extent to which the school teachers of Al-Tafilah district, are practicing the effective teaching strategies from the perspective of the educational supervisors and the school headmasters. The study sample formed about 90% of the entire population, with a total of 125 educational supervisors and school heads. A survey questionnaire was developed, consisting of 48 items about effective teaching strategies. The instrument validity and reliability was verified by a panel of jury and the test and re-test mechanisms. The study major findings are the following: Firstly, findings indicated that the effective teaching strategies that received the highest rankings were inherent in the domains of display methods, interactive methods, and practical and discovery methods. Secondly, findings indicated that practicing the effective teaching strategies was average with the mean of 3.55 level. Thirdly, findings indicated that there were no statistical differences that can be attributed to any of the study's variables (position, experience, gender and qualification). Finally, findings do not show any statistical interaction between the study’s variables. The study concluded with number of recommendations. (Published abstract)
