يهدف البحث إلى قياس مستوى الرضا عن الاختصاص الدراسي لدى طلبة جامعة أم القرى (من الجنسين) وعلاقته بتوافقهم النفسي والاجتماعي وتحصيلهم الدراسي. وقد تكونت عينة الدراسة من 418 طالبًا وطالبة منهم 216 طالبًا و202 طالبة تم اختيارها عشوائيا من عشر كليات، ومن اختصاصات ومستويات دراسية مختلفة. وقد استخدم الباحثون مقياسين أحدهما لقياس مستوى الرضا عن الاختصاص الدراسي، والآخر لقياس التوافق النفسي والاجتماعي، كما استخرج لهذين المقياسين معاملات الصدق والثبات اللازمة. وأهم النتائج التي أسفر عنها البحث، وجود مستوى رضا إيجابي نحو الاختصاص الدراسي عند كل من الطلاب والطالبات، كما وجدت علاقة موجبة دالة إحصائيا عند مستوى 0.01؛ 0.05 بين الرضا عن الاختصاص الدراسي وكلًا من التوافق النفسي والاجتماعي والتحصيل الدراسي عند كلا الجنسين. فضلًا عن عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين درجات الطلاب ودرجات الطالبات في مقياس الرضا عن الاختصاص الدراسي تعزى إلى الاختصاص الدراسي. وقد ناقش الباحثون هذه النتائج في ضوء معطيات البحث واستنادًا إلى الإطار النظري والدراسات السابقة. The research aims to measure the level of academic specialization satisfaction among students of Umm Al-Qura University of (both sexes) and its relationship with the psychological and social adjustment and their academic achievement. The sample of the research consists of 418 students drawn from ten colleges 216 males and 202 females; this sample is selected randomly from different levels of academic specialization. The researcher used two instruments which were applied to collect the required data, one to measure the level of satisfaction with academic specialization, and the other to measure the psychological and social adjustment. Coefficients of validity and stability will be got for the two scales. The essential findings of the research: There are a positive specialization satisfaction of the student (both sexes), Also, a positive correlation with significant differences at level 0.05; 0.01 between the students of the specialization satisfaction and psychological, social adjustment and academic achievement (both sexes). Also, there are no significant differences between student degrees (both sexes) in the measure of Specialization Satisfaction to academic Specialization. The researcher interpreted these findings according to the research data and based their analysis on theoretical frame and the previous studies. (Published abstract)
