يهدف البحث إلى الكشف عن أسباب العنوسة كما يراها طلبة الماجستير في كلية التربية جامعة دمشق، وقد صمم لهذه الدراسة استبيانا مؤلفا من 32 بندًا وخمسة محاور، وقد خضعت لإجراءات الصدق والثبات وفق معامل الارتباط بيرسون حيث تبين وجود معامل ترابط عال 0.87 ومعادلة ألفاكرونباخ لثبات الاستبيان. وكان معامل الثبات ذا ترابط عال بلغ 0.86 طبق هذا الاستبيان على عينة قوامها 91 طالبًا وطالبة للعام الدراسي 2010- 2011. وقد حاولت الدراسة الإجابة عن السؤال الرئيسي التالي ما أسباب العنوسة كما يراها طلبة الماجستير كلية التربية بجامعة دمشق، كذلك حاولت الإجابة عن فروض البحث التالية: 1) لا توجد فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات درجات إجابات طلبة الماجستير على الاستبيان تعزى إلى متغير (الجنس- الجامعة- الاختصاص) وكذلك الكشف عن فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات درجات إجابات طلبة الماجستير على الاستبيان تعزى إلى التفاعل الاجتماعي بين متغيري (الجنس والجامعة- الاختصاص والجامعة- الاختصاص والجنس والجامعة). This research aims to find out reasons of spinsterhood as viewed by Master student in the Faculty of Education at Damascus university. A questionnaire of 32 items and 5 areas was designed for this study. The study was subjected to measures of confidentiality and consistency according to person correlation factor. A high correlation factor of 0.87 was found out in addition to (Alfa Cronpakh) equation to questionnaire consistency. Consistency factor was 0.86. This questionnaire was applied on a sample of 91 students for the academic year 2010-2011. The study aimed to answer the following main question; what are The reasons of spinsterhood as viewed by MA students of the faculty of education at Damascus University. It also aimed to answer the following assumptions of the research. There are no differences of statistical significance between the answer average of MA. students to the questionnaire. This is attributed to the variable (Sex – University – Specialization) in addition to differences of statistical reference between answers average of MA. students.
