هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة درجة ممارسة القادة الأكاديميين في الجامعات الأردنية الرسمية للذكاء العاطفي وعلاقته بسلوك المواطنة التنظيمية لديهم. ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة، تم استخدام الاستبانة لقياس الذكاء العاطفي لدى القادة الأكاديميين، وقياس سلوك المواطنة التنظيمية لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس، وأجريت الدراسة على عينة تكونت من جميع القادة الأكاديميين في الجامعة الأردنية وجامعة اليرموك وجامعة مؤتة، بواقع 288 قائدا و 773عضو هيئة تدريس في كل من الجامعة الأردنية، وجامعة اليرموك، وجامعة مؤتة، تم اختيارهم بطريقة عشوائية ممثلة بنسبة30 %. واشتملت الدراسة على متغير مستقل هو درجة ممارسة القادة الأكاديميين للذكاء العاطفي في الجامعات الأردنية الرسمية، ومتغير تابع هو درجة ممارسة أعضاء هيئة التدريس لسلوك المواطنة التنظيمية، بالإضافة إلى متغير وسيط هو مكان العمل. وكشفت نتائج الدراسة عن درجة توافر عالية للذكاء العاطفي لدى القادة الأكاديميين في الجامعات الأردنية الرسمية، وكذلك عن درجة توافر عالية لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس لسلوك المواطنة التنظيمية في الجامعات الأردنية الرسمية. كما وأظهرت النتائج وجود علاقة ارتباطية إيجابية ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى 0.01≥α بين ممارسة القادة للذكاء العاطفي وبين سلوك المواطنة التنظيمية لديهم. This study investigated the behaviour of practicing emotional inelegance among academic leaders in official Jordanian Universities and its relationship with teaching staff organizational citizenship behaviour. To achieve the study goal, one instrument was used to measure the emotional intelligence of the academic leaders and to measure the organizational citizenship behaviour for the teaching staff. The study sample consists of 288 academic leaders in University of Jordan, Yarmouk University and Mouta University, and about 773 teaching staff members were selected randomly from the mentioned universities, representing 30% of the total number of educational community of these mentioned universities. The study findings revealed that academic leaders in official Jordanian universities have higher degree of emotional leadership, and that teaching staff members have medium degree of such behaviour. At the same time the findings revealed that teaching staff members have high degree of organizational citizenship behaviour in Jordan official universities. Findings also revealed that there is a significant positive relationship of level α≤ 0.01 between leaders practicing of emotional intelligence and teaching staff members and their organizational citizenship behaviour, and between academic leaders practicing of transformational leadership of teaching staff and their organizational citizenship behaviour of level α≤0.01. The study suggests generalization results found in higher education institutions, performing training courses for leaders and teaching staff members, encouraging all employees to participate in training operations, and enhancing leaders organizational citizenship behaviour through promotion and motivation system. The study also recommends performing similar survey studies on other populations to verify the possibility of results generalization. (Published abstract)
