هدفت الدراسة إلى تحديد الأخطاء الإملائية الشائعة لدى الدارسين بجامعة القدس المفتوحة في مساق اللغة العربية (1)، وتصنيف هذه الأخطاء وفق المهارات الإملائية الواردة في هذا المساق والتعرف إلى الأسباب المحتملة، والكامنة وراء هذه الأخطاء، ومن ثم وضع المقترحات لعلاجها. ولتحقيق ذلك قام الباحثان بحصر القواعد الإملائية المقررة في مساق اللغة العربية (1)، ثم اختيار عينة قوامها (146) كراسا من إجابات الدارسين على الإمتحان النهائي للمساق، وحصر الأخطاء وتصنيفها، وتحليلها. وقد أظهرت نتائج التحليل، وجود أخطاء في كتابة الهمزة، أول الكلمة، ووسطها، ونهايتها، وفي التاء المربوطة، والألف في نهاية الكلمة، وعدم التفريق بين واو الضمير، والواو الأصلية، وواو الجماعة، وبين الألف المقصورة، والياء في نهاية الكلمة، وقد أوصى الباحثان بوجوب تخصيص وحدة مستقلة في مساق اللغة العربية (1) تختص بمهارات كتابة الهمزة، وزيادة عدد ساعات مساق اللغة العربية (1) من ساعتين إلى ثلاث ساعات. This study aimed to specify the common spelling mistakes of Al-Quds Open University students in Arabic language (1) and classifying these mistakes according to the spelling skills listed in Arabic course (1) and identifying the possible and potential reasons behind making these mistakes; then to give some suggestions to treat them. To achieve this the two researchers allocated the dictation rules found in the course, then chose a sample of (146) final exam answer booklets for students in Arabic course and identified these mistakes, classifying and analyzing them. The results of the analysis showed that there are mistakes in writing the “hamzah” at the beginning, the middle and the end of the word, “ataa al marbouta”, “al-alef” at the end of the word and the students inability to differentiate between “waw adameer” and “alwaw al-asliya” and “waw al jamaa” and between “al alef almaqsourah” and the “yaa” at the end of the word. The two researchers recommended that there is a necessity to assign a unit in the course to deal with the correct writing "al-hamzah" and to increase the course from two to three credit hours.
