هدفت هذه الدراسة التعرف إلى معيقات تطبيق إدارة المعرفة في جامعة أم القرى من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس، وكذلك هدفت للتعرف على الفروق بين متوسطات استجابات أفراد الدراسة حول معيقات تطبيق إدارة المعرفة في جامعة أم القرى حسب متغيرات الجنس، والكلية، والرتبة الأكاديمية، وسنوات الخبرة، والجنسية. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة، تم تصميم استبانة تكونت من (26) فقرة موزعة على ثلاثة مجالات، وهي: مجال المعيقات الإدارية وتضمن (7) فقرات، ومجال المعيقات الفنية وتضمن (10) فقرات، ومجال المعيقات المعرفية وتضمن (9) فقرات تم توزيعها على عينة تكونت من (526) عضو هيئة تدريس في جامعة ام القرى. توصلت الدراسة أن مستوى المعيقات قد جاء بدرجة مرتفعة، وكان مجال المعيقات الإدارية قد احتل المرتبة الأولى بدرجة كبيرة، وجاء مجال المعيقات الفنية في المرتبة الثانية بدرجة كبيرة بينما احتل مجال المعيقات المعرفية المرتبة الأخيرة بدرجة متوسطة، كما بينت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لمتغير الجنس، وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لمتغير الكلية وذلك لصالح الكليات العلمية، وعدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لمتغير الرتبة الأكاديمية، كما دلت النتائج وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لمتغير عدد سنوات الخبرة، وذلك لصالح تقديرات ذوي عدد سنوات الخبرة (اكثرمن 10 سنوات) وكذلك عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لمتغير الجنسية. This study aimed at investigating the obstacles that hinder the application of knowledge management in Umm Al Qura University from the point of view of the faculty members. It also aimed at finding the differences between the ratios of the study respondents about the difficulties that facing the application of knowledge management according to; gender, college, academic rank and the years of experience. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire consisted of 26 paragraphs was built to cover three domains of obstacles which included: managerial obstacles which consisted of (7) paragraphs, technical obstacles which consisted of (10) paragraphs in addition to the knowledge obstacles which consisted of (9) paragraphs. The questionnaire was distributed to a sample consisted of (526) faculty members in Umm Al Qura University. The study revealed that the level of obstacles reached a high level, where the domain of administrative obstacles ranked first and the domain of technical obstacles came in the second place. However, the domain of cognitive obstacles ranked last. The results revealed that there were no statistical differences attributed to gender, academic rank, and nationality. There were statistical differences attributed to college in favor of scientific colleges. Further, there were statistical differences attributed the years of experience (more than 10 years).
