تعد استفادة طلبة الصحافة من الإنترنيت ذات صبغة خاصة؛ بسبب طبيعة الاختصاص المرتبط بتلك الوسيلة الحديثة والفعالة في مجال الاتصال والإعلام، من هناك، هدفت هذه الدراسة: إلى التعرف على مدى استفادة تلك الفئة من الطلبة من الإنترنت في مجال تعزيز قدراتهم الصحفية، والمجالات التي تستخدم فيها، بالإضافة إلى استكشاف المشكلات التي تعيق تلك الاستفادة، وصولا إلى بلورة رؤية للاستخدام الأمثل للإنترنت في رفد العملية التعليمية في مجال الصحافة من قبل الطلبة، وتعزيز ذلك الاستخدام بما يحقق الأهداف المرجوة من تعليم الصحافة. وقد تكون مجتمع الدراسة: من جميع الطلبة والطالبات الملتحقين بقسم الصحافة في جامعة النجاح الوطنية، والمسجلين في الفصل الدراسي الأول 2009/2010 والبالغ عددهم (158) طالبا وطالب، وقد تم إعداد استبانة لذلك الغرض، ثم توزيعها على جميع أفراد مجتمع البحث (الحصر الشامل) لصغر المجتمع، وبلغ الصحيح منها والصالح للتحليل الإحصائي (133) استبانة، وقد تضمنت الاستبانة، بالإضافة إلى الأسئلة الخاصة بمواصفات العينة، أسئلة شاملة لاستخدامات طلبة الصحافة للإنترنيت، وبخاصة فيما يتعلق بمجال دراستهم، ثم قام الباحث بالتأكد من صدق وثبات الأداة. وتوصلت نتائج الدراسة: إلى أن غالبية المبحوثين يستخدمون الإنترنيت بدرجة أعلى من وسائل الإعلام الأخرى، ويحققون فائدة كبيرة في مجال دراستهم الصحفية، وأشارت النتائج كذلك إلى أن الطلبة يرون أنه بالإمكان الاستفادة من الإنترنيت في تطوير قدراتهم الصحفية، سواء أكانت حيث تصفح المواقع المختلفة، أم من خلال الحصول على فرص للتدريب، أو من خلال نشر موادهم الصحفية، أم أن قسم الصحافة يمكن أن يسهم في تحقيق ذلك. وأوصى الباحث: بضرورة أن يكون لقسم الصحافة دور في توفير استخدام الإنترنت في تدريس الإعلام، وفي توجيه الطلبة لاستخدامه بشكل فاعل لتطوير قدراتهم الصحفية، كما أوصى بضرورة رفع مستوى الأداء لدى المدرسين؛ لاستكشاف الإمكانيات التي تتمتع بها تلك التقنية، وفي تشجيع الطلبة على المبادرة والإبداع في استخدام الإنترنيت بشكل فاعل في مجال تطوير قدراتهم الصحفية. The way students of journalism benefit from the Internet is regarded unique because of the special nature of this modern and effective medium in the field of communication and media. Accordingly, this paper aimed at exploring the extent students of journalism benefit from the Internet improving their journalistic abilities, the areas they used, and the obstacles hindering this benefit. The study sought to form an ideal use of the Internet sustaining the students’ process of learning journalism, and ensuring that such use serves the aims of teaching journalism. The population constitutes all first term 2009/2010 students (158), Department of Journalism, NAU. A questionnaire prepared and administered to the study population. The number of returned question was (133). The questionnaire included, in addition to personal questions, questions on the area of using the Internet by journalism students, particularly, those relevant to their field of study. The researcher, thus, ensured the validity of the questionnaire. The study concluded that students used the Internet more than other mass media, and benefited from this use in their journalistic studies. Furthermore, students believed that it was possible to benefit from the Internet in developing their journalistic abilities, either by viewing and reading various internet sites, or by obtaining training opportunities. They also thought that the Department of Journalism could contribute towards achieving these benefits. The recommendations include that the Department of Journalism needs to offer use of the Internet in teaching journalism, and direct students to use it effectively to develop their journalistic abilities. The Journalism teacher competence exploring potentials of the Internet should be enhanced, and that their competence should be directed to encourage students to be more initiative and creative in using the Internet.
