هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعريف بالرسوب المدرسي وأسبابه وصوره ووجهات النظر حوله والحلول المقترحة للحد منه. استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي من أجل سبر غور هذا الموضوع. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن هناك خمسة أشكال للرسوب المدرسي أربعة منها طوعي والخامس هو ما نطلق عليه الرسوب المدرسي وهو الشكل الشائع في مجتمعاتنا. وأن هناك عوامل كثيرة تقف وراء هذه الظاهرة أبرزها العوامل الأسرية ثم الشخصية وأخيراً الأكاديمية. وأهمّ القوانين والتشريعات التي أسهمت في الحد والتقليل من هذه الظاهرة المعمول بها في بعض الدول. وأنَّ هناك وجهتا نظر أحداهما مؤيدة للرسوب المدرسي والأخرى معارضة له. كما كشفت الدراسة عن أهم الحلول والمقترحات والاستراتيجيات للحد من ظاهرة الرسوب المدرسي وتكرار الصف. وفي هدي هذه النتائج اختتمت الدراسة بعرض عدد من التوصيات والتطبيقات واقتراح عدد من الدراسات ذات الصلة بموضوعها. This study aimed to know the causes of students’ failure at schools and a description of different perspectives around them and the solutions propose to reduce this phenomenon. The study used a descriptive and analytical approach in order to explore this phenomenon. The results showed that there are five forms of school failure and repletion of the same class. I found that four of the causes are voluntary and the fifth is what our society call “repetition” which is a common format our schools. There are many factors behind this phenomenon, most notably the family, personal factors and academic reasons. The most important laws and legislation that have contributed to the reduction of this phenomenon is applicable some countries. There are two views about this phenomenon, one in favor and another is against. The study proposed the most important solutions, proposals and strategies to reduce the phenomenon of school failure and repetition. In the light of the results, the study concluded by presenting some recommendation, applications and suggestions related to its topic. (Published Abstract)
