AU - المشكور، غالب خزعل AB - The study aims to identify the effect of using electronic mental maps in developing mathematical thinking among middle school students. The hypothesis of the study: There is no statistically significant difference at the 05.0 level between the average scores of the experimental group students who studied using mental maps in developing mathematical thinking in mathematics and the average scores of the students of the control group in the traditional mathematical thinking test who studied in the mathematical thinking test. The limits of the study were applied to the students of the preparatory stage in the General Directorate of Education in Baghdad, Al-Rusafa, the students of the fourth preparatory grade for the academic year 2018-2019. The mathematics book, 1st for the fourth preparatory stage. The study tool: A test of (20) multiple-choice items was prepared in mathematical thinking. The results were treated statistically by the statistical bag. The test was applied after being presented to the arbitrators on the students of the preparatory stage in the fourth grade.
