The study is an attempt to answer the question what is the role of talk show programs in creating and enhancing the state of polarization during the process of political change in Egypt? The study is investigating how the Egyptian public opinion is being affected by the way of presenting the political issues via mass media specially the talk show programs and the impact of this presentation in present and future. The study adopts the survey with sample technique with a group of university students and the survey with content analysis regarding a group of conflicting tv talk show programs in this period. The sampling subjects and population of interest: the population of the study are the young people and juveniles. Samples come from Cairo, Zagazig, and 6th of October universities while the sample talk show programs come from three local tv channels namely, state-owned Nile news (from Cairo program). The results proved the correctness of the main hypothesis of the study, which is that the conflicting media under study have caused a major state of political polarization among adolescents, which was evident in the polarization measures that the researcher placed in the study tools, the results also proved that the effects of polarization extended to the thinking of some members of the sample to use violence against the other party and confirmed that there are statistically significant differences between the type of political issues that adolescents pursue in talk shows and their level of political polarization.
