AU - العنزي، عبد اللطيف صقر AB - The current research aims to shed light on the role of the virtual museum in developing metacognitive thinking skills among students of the College of Basic Education in the State of Kuwait, as well as helping students to communicate effectively with digital objects for virtual museum activities, extracting information and making judgments, and enriching the experience of Aesthetic taste by emphasizing the aesthetic experience of the activities of the virtual museum, and the current research has tried to answer the following questions: 1) What is the role of the virtual museum in developing metacognitive thinking skills among students of the College of Basic Education in the State of Kuwait? 2) What are the returns to using virtual museums as one of the multiple learning systems in the era of digitization? 3) What are the roles of the learner in the environment of the worlds of imagination (the virtual museum) to extract information and make judgments through an analytical reading of some museum exhibits in plastic art? The current field of research was also limited to random selection of a sample of fourth-level students at the College of Basic Education in the State of Kuwait (30 students). The research followed the descriptive-analytical approach with the aim of abstractly describing the problem and studying the relationships between its components and influences with analysis and interpretation by gathering facts. The intellectual and semantic implications, the formal and formative features, the expressive and symbolic values of the plastic artworks and the three-dimensional forms as digital objects of the worlds of imagination associated with the virtual museum, with the use of the descriptive approach in extrapolating the previous studies and discussing the findings of the research. And the current research has reached the following results: 1) The importance of the effective role of the virtual museum in developing metacognitive thinking skills among students of the College of Basic Education in the State of Kuwait. 2) The activities of the virtual museum make students more integrated, immersed, interacting and understanding knowledge related to formal, semantic, symbolic and behavioral contents associated with digital objects, plastic art exhibits in different art schools, and more aware of their thinking processes. 3) Students' interaction with the virtual museum activities related to fantasy worlds in the works of plastic artists in some different art schools makes them more familiar with the visual self-organization of shapes, discovering hidden meanings in them, and proposing solutions within complex structural structures (levels of complexity in the methodology of some different art schools).
