AU - آل ناصر، ناصر بن عبد الله AB - The study aimed to identify the impact of applying quality assurance and accreditation standards on developing the performance of Saudi universities from the perspectives of faculty members. The researcher used the descriptive analytical survey method. The tool consisted of a questionnaire distributed to a sample of (626) faculty members in five Saudi universities located in different administrative regions, namely universities (Umm Al-Qura, Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal, Najran, the northern border, and Shaqraa) and using the program (SPSS) in processing and analyzing data. The results of the study revealed the following: the overall tool obtained an overall means (3.44 out of 5) with a (large) degree of application and at the level of the main axes; The general implementation of quality assurance and accreditation standards scored (3.50) means, as for the sub-fields. The field of formulating the mission and goals scored the highest means (3.73), followed by teaching and learning with (3.69) means scores, then Student Affairs Administration (3.50), all with a verbal estimate (with a large degree), and fourth: the field of program management and ensuring its quality with means of (3.38), then learning resources, facilities and equipment Average (3.34), and finally; At tracting faculty members with an means of (3.33) and an application degree (medium) for each, As for the areas of performance development. The field of education and learning got (3.46), then community service (3.45), both of which have a (large) performance degree, and finally scientific research with (3.24) means and (medium) degree. The results also showed a positive correlation. Statistical function between application of quality assurance and accreditation standards and the performance of Saudi universities, where the degree of correlation was (0.87) and the value of the coefficient of determination obtained (0.76), and it indicates a large degree of correlation. There were also no statistically significant differences between the sample’s responses according to the college variable. Based on the results, the researcher provided a set of recommendations to develop Saudi universities and activate their performance. He also presented proposals for studies on the obstacles to implementing the standards of quality assurance and academic accreditation in universities. He also provided effective mechanisms that will ensure quality assurance, and universities obtain academic accreditationocally and internationally.
