AU - عناب، رشا علي محمد AB - The present study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of the PQ4R strategy in improving contemplative thinking for 10th grade students. To achieve this, a guide was prepared for the educational subject to be taught and the study tools, and then to ensure its honesty and consistency. It included rebuilding the unit circle, and a contemplative thinking test. The sample was chosen intentionally from one of the schools affiliated to the Directorate of Education for the first Zarqa district, it consisted of (40) students, they were divided into two groups: the first was a pilot consisting of (20) students who studied using the pq4r strategy, and the second was composed of (20) students who studied the usual way. The results of the study showed the presence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) on the contemplative thinking test between the performance of the members of the control and experimental groups, and in favor of the experimental group that applied the strategy (PQ4R). In light of the results, the study recommends coordination between the Ministry of Education and Schools to employ a strategy (PQ4R) in teaching mathematics, and to ensure that it is included in the curriculum and applied in the various levels of study. And the need for extensive training for teachers and students to make sure they have the experience to deal with mathematics and implement a strategy (PQ4R).
