AU - بلمهدي، فتيحة AU - بكير، مليكة AB - The present study aimed to identify the relation between the excessive use of electronic games and the academic achievement, as well as the difference in the use of electronic games between boys and girls. The sample of the study consisted of (196) pupils from Hafsa mother of believers’ primary school in Bouzareah from Algiers and the student Mohammed Khanghani School from Ouargla aged between (13-8). To collect data, we have used a sheet of information. This study came up with a number of important results such as: 1) there is no statistically significant relationship between academic achievement and the use of electronic games which is the opposite of what we assumed at the beginning of the study and we have tried to interpret this result. 2) There is no over- use of electronic games by the members of the sample. 3) The percentage of boys use of electronic games is greater than the percentage of girls. 4) It should be noted that the current study tried to explore the subject and we can consider it as a starting point to launch other studies looking more in various aspects of the subject. We have also given some suggestions and recommendations.
