AU - الدوسري، صالح محمد أحمد AU - المخلافي، محمد سرحان AB - The study aimed to identify the knowledge management strategies prevailing in the east Dammam secondary schools, as well as to identify the obstacles of knowledge management strategies implementation by the school administration. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach was used in its survey method, the questionnaire was used as a data collection tool, and the sample of the study included (359) teachers in Dammam governmental secondary schools, which represented (89.7%) of the total population. The data were analyzed using the statistical packages program (SPSS) The study concluded a number of results, most notably of them were: The knowledge management strategies prevailing in the east Dammam secondary schools was with (medium) response level in overall, and with an average of (3.16), where the strategies (descending) were as follows: (knowledge implementation strategy, followed by organizing and storing knowledge strategy, followed by knowledge generation strategy, followed by knowledge sharing strategy), that with arithmetic averages (3.27, 3.24, 3.13, 3.01) respectively, and with a (medium) response degree for all strategies. the obstacles of knowledge management strategies implementation by the school administration came in response degree (often), with an average of (3.80), the most notably of them: the lack of financial and moral incentives to encourage school leaders to implement knowledge management strategies, the difficulty of involving teachers in knowledge management task forces due to their heavy workload, and weak technical capabilities to implement knowledge management strategies within schools. The study recommended several recommendations, the most important of them were: Assessing the performance of East Dammam secondary school leaders in based on their degree of employment of the knowledge management strategies, Reduce the obstacles facing knowledge management strategies implementation faced by the school administration, especially by increasing the financial and moral incentives allocated to encourage school leaders to implement knowledge management strategies and to provide the necessary technical means to implement these strategies.
