AU - حجازي، سحر AB - The study aims to identify the skill of self-expression among a group of the mentally handicapped by using a drawing-based training program to develop these skills among the mentally handicapped who are able to learn. The researcher followed the experimental approach, as the sample was divided into two control groups and an experimental group, and the sample consisted of (12) and divided into (6) experimental, (6) controls between the ages of (12-15 years), and the tools were used: the fourth image of the Stanford test Binet (Arabization and Preparation by Louis Kamel Malika (1998), Self-Expression Skill Scale prepared by Amira Massoud (2013) and a training program (prepared by the researcher). The results of the study are as following: 1) There is significant statistically differences between the mean ranks of self expression skills in the experimental group of educable intellectual disability children pre and post assessment favoring post assessment. 2) There is no statistically differences between the mean ranks of self expression skills in the control group of educable intellectual disability children pre and post assessment. 3) There is significant statistically differences between the mean ranks of self expression skills in the experimental and control groups of educable intellectual disability children favoring the experimental group. 4) There is no significant statistically differences between the mean ranks of self expression skills in the experimental group of educable intellectual disability children post and follow-up assessment.
