AU - الحبار، عبد الواحد لقمان محمد أمين AB - The aim of this research is to identify the positive and negative aspects of the mathematics curriculum that is planned for the first intermediate grade from the teachers view and in the light of modern standards. The sample consisted of (46) male and female teachers: (25) male teachers and (21) female teachers, randomly selected from middle and high schools in the center of Mosul for the academic year (2017-2018). In order to achieve the objective of the research, the researcher constructed a scale consists of (25) paragraphs of the three alternatives after being presented to a committee of arbitrators to ascertain its validity. After the researcher verification of the scale sincerity and stability, It was applied to the sample. After collecting the data and statistical analysis, the following results are concluded: 1) There is almost complete agreement in the views of male and female teachers on the achievement of modern standards in the areas (educational objectives, content, design, printing, evaluation). 2) There is convergence of views in the absence of male and female teachers in the absence of differences in areas of achievement of modern standards in the mathematics curriculum.
