AU - القرني، نورة عوض AB - This study aims at discovering the characteristics of the effective teacher from the viewpoint of high school leaders in Bisha, Saudi Arabia. To this end, the researcher has designed a questionnaire containing (25) items, distributed to a sample from the target population of (26) leaders (male and female). This research has revealed that the level of effective teacher characteristics appeared moderately, with an arithmetic mean of (2.70) and a standard deviation of (0.46). This study has shown no significant differences at (α=0.05) in the sample’s expectations of the study’s variables. The current study suggests a couple of recommendations, such as providing teachers with enough feedback on the characteristics, which according to leaders, are necessary for each teacher. Besides, organizing workshops to train teachers and make them familiar with the required characteristics for a successful educational mission.
