AU - البحراوي، فتحي مبروك AB - The aim of this research is to identify the extent to which students in middle stage possess reading skills in order to acquire knowledge from the perspectives of reading teachers, and conceptualize a list of reading skills for knowledge acquisition. It also aimed to detect statistically significant differences on the total score of the questionnaire according to the variables of (gender - number of years of teaching experience). The sample of the study included (80) male and female middle stage teachers in Al-Minya and Menoufeya Governorate. The researcher adopted the descriptive analytical approach as a method for the study, and used a questionnaire as a tool for study. The study reached several results, the most important of which are: The extent to which students in middle school possess reading skills in order to acquire knowledge scored a (low) degree from the perspectives of reading teachers of the study sample. There were no statistically significant differences at (0.05) level of significance in the perspectives of the respondents on the total score of the questionnaire according to the variable of (gender). There were statistically significant differences at (0.05) level of significance in the perspectives of the respondents on the second axis: Interpretation skills, according to the variable of (number of years of teaching experience) for those with 10 years or more experience.
