AU - الكلثم، حمد بن مرضي AB - This paper aims to identify the current standards of quality test paper, and to recognize the availability of these standards in the current paper test in the tests provided to Islamic education in Umm Al-Qura University and Al-Dammam university. Also, it seeks to find out if there any statistically significant differences in validating the paper test to the quality standards between Umm Al-Qura University and Al-Dammam university, and then to provide suggestions and recommendations for developing the paper tests at Al-Qura University and Al-Dammam university in the light of the current research findings. The researcher totally analyzed (30) paper test, (15) for each university in light of the characteristics of paper tests in terms of content, form, kind of questions; essay questions and objective ones.The researcher has found the following: 1) identify (58) standards of quality test paper. 2) the percentage of the availability of the accredited specification of paper test ranged between 93% and 75% in paper tests provided Umm Al-Qura Faculty of Shari’a & Dawh. This percentage is fairly high. As for papers tests at Al-Dammam Faculty of Education, its percentage has ranged between 93% and 51%. So, it is a moderate one. 3) The recall level has received 87%, in the papers questions provided in each faculty at Umm Al-Qura and Al-Dammam universities. Thus, it has occupied the first rank of the cognitive questions levels. 4) There are statistically significant differences in favor of Umm Al-Qura faculty of Shari’a & Dawh in terms of the specifications of the paper tests, the questions that dealt with cognitive levels, and quality standards of objectivity and essay questions.
