AU - العنزي، مريم عايد سعد AB - Objectives Identify constraints of each of (school environment, social studies teachers, curriculum, students, the nature of thinking aloud strategy) which make social studies teachers limit the use of thinking aloud strategy, also aimed to identify statistically significant differences between the views of the study constraints on the use of thinking aloud strategy to social studies teachers in the city of Riyadh due to personal and functional variables (qualification, years of experience, number of training courses in the field of teaching strategies, school stage you teach). To achieve these goals, the researcher used the questionnaire as a tool for study, also used descriptive analytical method. And the study population consisted of all social studies teachers in Riyadh, The research sample consisted of social studies teachers in Riyadh, the first year of the semester (1435-1436h), and a number of women (80) teachers. The results: 1) Results of the study showed that the study sample approvals moderately constraints on the use of thinking aloud strategy for social studies teachers, average (3.32 out of 5). 2) As the study sample agreed to constraints related to the curriculum, average (3.28 out of 5). 3) As the study sample agreed to constraints related to a teacher of geography, average (3.01 out of 5). 4) The sample of the study agreed to constraints related to the school environment, average (3.30 out of 5). 5) As the study sample agreed to constraints related to the students, average (3.34 out of 5). 6) As the study sample agreed with a high degree constraints on the nature of thinking aloud strategy, average (3.64 out of 5). 7) The results revealed no statistically significant differences at the 0.05 level or less in the study trends about (the obstacles related to the students, the constraints on the nature of thinking aloud strategy) depending on variable Qualification and the differences in favor of the teaches with Qualification (Teachers preparation Institute). 8) The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the 0.05 level or less in the study sample trends on all the study axes according to the following variables (years of experience, number of training courses in the field of teaching strategies, school stage). Recommendations: 1) preparation of a training program for social studies teachers in-service training on how to use the thinking aloud in the teaching strategy. 2) Allocating sufficient time to apply this strategy and practice activities. 3) Granting teachers complete freedom in the distribution of scheduled topics as they see the consistent with the use of this strategy. 4) Encourage and motivate students to the use of modern methods of teaching and private thinking aloud strategy. 5) Preparation of the necessary training programs for teachers during tenure to enable to enable them to master this strategy.
