AU - مخلوف، هناء محمد علي AU - الصادق، أميمة رياض AB - The current study aims at investigating the effectiveness of a set of enrichment activities designed in accordance with the results of international studies for developing primary school students' reading comprehension skills and learning autonomy. The study utilized both the analytic descriptive and experimental research methods. It incorporated a set of tools including: a list of reading comprehension skills derived from international studies that are compatible with fourth grade primary school students' proficiency level, a reading test that measures fourth grade students' achievement with regard to the first term prescribed reading syllabus during the school year 2014/2015, and a reading comprehension pre-posttest designed with reference to the suggested reading comprehension skills list. The intervention included a set of enrichment activities that aimed at developing students' reading comprehension skills and promoting their learning autonomy. The study was administered to a sample comprising male and female fourth grade primary school students at an experimental school in Menya, during the first term of the school year 2014-2015. Results proved the effectiveness of the suggested enrichment strategies in developing both students' reading comprehension skills and learning autonomy.
