AU - الطائي، مدحت نوري جليل AB - The problem of this research is to answer the following question: does the level of comprehension of teachers of industrial sciences for some concepts of measurement and evaluation reach the evaluational accepted level (60%)? And is this level affected by some variables? This research takes its importance from the importance of education, preparation of industrial sciences teachers, and industrial sciences subject. The aims of this research are as follows: 1) identifying the level of knowledge of teachers of industrial sciences for concepts of measurement and evaluation and compare this level with the educational accepted level(60%). 2) Identifying the level of knowledge of teachers of industrial sciences (who have certificate of diploma or secondary school) and compare this level with the educational accepted level (60%). 3) Identifying significance of differences in level of knowledge both- kinds of teachers of concepts of measurement and evaluation. 4) Identifying significance of differences in level of knowledge of teachers of industrial sciences for concepts of measurement and evaluation according to the following variables (sex, number of service years, and number of courses). 5) Identifying significance of differences in level of knowledge of teachers of industrial sciences having certificate of diploma or secondary school for the same concepts and according to same variables. The research used the same test tool of comprehension of concepts of measurement and evaluation and showed it to jury members. The sample size (77) teachers, males and females,(34) of them graduated from colleges and (21) of them did not graduate from colleges, these results of this research were as follows: 1) the level of industrial sciences teachers comprehension for these concepts does not reach to accepted educational level (60%). 2) The level of industrial sciences teachers (having diploma or secondary school certificate) does not reach to accepted educational level (60%). 3) There is not any statistical significant differences at level of 0.05 between level of both kinds of teachers comprehension for these concepts. 4) These is not any statistical significant differences at level of 0.05 between level of teachers comprehension for these concept attributed to (sex, years of service, number of training courses). 5) These is not any statistical significant differences at level of 0.05 between level of comprehension of teachers having diploma or secondary school certificate for the same concepts attributed to the same variables above. The researcher put same suggestions and recommendations in light of his results as follows: 1) importance of focusing on concepts of measurement and evaluation in training courses. 2) Importance of participation of teachers in courses of planning of good questions and how to over all cognitive levels. 3) Taking into consideration the success or failure of teachers in- training courses in their transfer to higher rank. 4) Importance of knowing all teachers to micro teaching that depend on competencies. 5) Importance of making courses enhanced with computers for teachers. 6) Participation of all teachers in methods of teaching courses. The research put some suggestions as follows: 1) making similar study on other samples and compare the results of both kinds. 2) Making study on the relationship of attitude towards industrial sciences subject and achievement in this subject for students. 3) Making a special study to evaluate curricula of industrial sciences teachers’ preparation.
