AU - الحياري، خالد محمود حسين AU - رواشدة، إبراهيم فيصل AB - This study aimed to determine the percentages which represent the issues of science, technology and society in the books of science (chemistry, biology, physics, earth sciences and the environment) authorized to be taught in the schools of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan by analyzing the books according to the analysis instrument that has been prepared and developed by the researcher. The instrument has been introduced to a panel of experts who have a long experience and competence in Jordanian universities and the Ministry of Education of Jordan. The instrument involved (10) major issues branched into (86) Sub-issues. The researcher followed the content analysis method to investigate the proportion inclusion of these issues in science books. The researcher has reached to the conclusion that the books have focused on health issues by (28.37%), followed by the issues of water scarcity by (20.52%), the percentage of the remaining issues related to the content of science books varied. The researcher found that there are some issues not included in the science books including issues of nuclear reactors.
