AU - الكلباني، سعود بن حارب بن محمد AU - الشملي، علي بن خليفة AB - The present study aimed to investigate the extent to which TQM standards were implemented in basic education schools (1-4) from the point of view of the school administrations in the Sultanate of Oman. The study sample consisted of 110 director and assistant headteacher, from three governorates (Al Dhahirah, North Batinah and Al Buraimi), who were selected by random stratified sample technology during the academic year 2018/2019. The study tool consisted of a questionnaire with five aspects, distributed over 43 paragraphs, where the internal consistency was 0.88 with the Alpha Kronbach formula. The main results indicated that the implementation of TQM standards in basic education schools (1-4) in the Sultanate of Oman came is in a high level in all study aspects. In addition, there is absence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤ 0.05) in the sample of the study on the application of TQM standards in the basic education schools (1-4) in the Sultanate of Oman and this is due to the variable job title (school principal - assistant director of school) in all study aspects. The study also indicated statistical significance at the level of (α≤ 0.05) between the study sample who have administrative experience of more than 10 years and others who have administrative experience 5 years or less. Where the managerial experience was in favor of the study sample with administrative experience of more than 10 years in all aspects except the aspect of criteria related to the relationship between school and society. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of (α ≤0.05) in the study sample on the application of the criteria for total quality management standards in basic education schools (1-4) in the Sultanate of Oman. This is due to the variable of scientific qualification in all the subjects of the study except the aspect of standards related to the learning environment where the differences came in favor of the sample with a bachelor qualification or less. The study recommended intensifying the workshops to school administrators and their assistants with less experience; to develop their experience and performance in the field of school leadership and management, and the implementation of TQM standards in the education sector. In addition, conducting more similar studies in the other governorates of the Sultanate that were not covered by the study community and compare them with the results of the current study.
