AU - الزبون، عائشة الحاج علي AU - الشرعة، حسين سالم AU - طنوس، عادل AU - العدوان، فاطمة عيد AU - الشريف، بسمة عيد AB - The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of assertiveness training program in reducing violent behavior and gaining empathy skills, on violent female students in Jordanian schools. The sample of this study consisted of (30) students from the eighth grade in Jerash secondary school for girls in Jerash governorate. The sample was randomly divided equally into two groups: the experimental group; included (15) student, who received the training program; consisted of (12) sessions, and a control group, consisted of (15) student, who did not receive the training program. Violence and empathy scales were applied for both groups before and after implementation training program, and follow-up measure was applied after one month of the program completed, on the experimental group. The results of (ANCOVA) showed statistically significant differences between the experimental and control groups on the scale of violent behavior; the average of violence behavior on the experimental group decreased comparing to the control group. Also, there were significant differences between the experimental and control groups in the skills of empathy; the average of empathy on the experimental group increased comparing to the control group.
