AU - رمضان، هيام نصر الدين عبده AB - The study aims to find out the effectiveness of the technical approach through the audio book in the development of literary taste skills in the first year secondary school students. In order to achieve the objective of the study, the researcher used the experimental method by dividing the study groups into two experimental and control groups. Printed, total sample of 60 students from the first grade secondary students, distributed to 30 students in the experimental group used the audio book, and 30 students in the control group used traditional reading printed. To achieve the objective of the study, the researcher prepared a list of literary taste skills after reviewing the studies in this field. Also she prepared a test of literary taste skills based on this list, and sent it to a number of specialized arbitrators to check on its conformity with the objective of the study. In the fourth week, the post-test was applied to male and female students. The results indicated that there were no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group and the control group, indicating that the two groups are equal in literary taste skills, and that the audio book differs from the traditional book read in the acquisition of literary taste skills. The results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences between the average scores of male and female students in the experimental group. To find out if the audio book had a significant impact on the students' ability to taste literary skills, the results indicated that there is no strong impact of the audio book in the acquisition of literary taste skills.
