AU - المعجل، طلال بن محمد بن فرحان AU - الزايد، خديجة بنت عبد الله AB - This research aimed to find out the contribution of teaching methods in developing values among students in middle school from the viewpoint of Islamic education teachers, and to find out if their proposals support the development of values among students, and also to detect whether there were statistically significant differences between the means of contribution degree of these methods, according to gender, experience, number of training courses, and educational qualification. A descriptive approach was used, and a questionnaire was applied on a stratified random sample consisting of (150) female teachers and (101) male teachers of Islamic education in middle schools in Riyadh. The results showed that the contribution of teaching methods is highly influential in developing the values of middle school students from the viewpoint of teachers of Islamic education. The most significant influential methods from the point of view of the sample were discussed and debated, linking between values and the reality of life, giving examples, simulation and utilizing current events. Also, the results showed no significant differences between the averages of the contribution of teaching methods in developing values according to educational qualification, years of experience, and the number of training courses. There were, however, significant differences between the teachers in favor of females. The researcher made several recommendations based on the results, including providing Islamic education curriculum with activities that support using teaching methods which contribute in developing values among students.
