AU - القيسي، جيهان عبد حداد AB - The current research aims to identify the level of social skills of deprived and non-deprived pupil of the mothers, are there statistically significant differences in the level of social skills among the children deprived of their mothers in regard of the variable type of deprivation (death, divorce). Are there statistically significant differences in the level of social skills among children who are deprived and non-deprived of the mother according to the variable of sex, and type of deprivation age? In order to achieve these objectives, a sample of fifth grade students was selected. They were randomly selected in the class of (500) male and female students and (are deprived and non-deprived of the mother) for the academic year (2018-2019) for the both sides of Baghdad city (Rusafa-Karkh).the researcher has designed a questionnaire to measure the social skills of students SPSS software was used (Pearson correlation coefficient, Vaccronbach equation, one t-test and two independent samples. The findings showed that children who are deprived of their mother suffer from poor social skills measured by their peers who live with their mothers. Individuals suffering from loss of mother due to separation are more vulnerable to social skills.
