AU - حسون، يسرى مهدي AB - The current research aims to identify the impact of a counseling program on the development of professional competence among special classes’ teachers. The sample of the research focused on the female-teachers who teach slow learners of the primary stage for the academic year 2017-2018. The researcher designed a scale to measure the professional competence of (36) paragraphs with three alternatives (always apply to me, sometimes apply to me, never apply), which graded as (3, 2, 1). As for the training program, it consisted of (12) sessions, and after the application of research tools and processing of data by appropriate statistical means. The researcher found that the guidance program had a clear impact on the development of professional competence of the teachers of special classes. Based on the research results, the researcher set a number of recommendations and suggestions.
