AU - الحايك، صادق خالد AU - خصاونة، غادة AU - مسعد، زياد AB - This study aims to identify the Life skills-based knowledge economy gained from learning gymnastics curricula (levels 1, 2 and 3) in the faculty of Physical Education at the University of Jordan, depending on the variables of gender and academic level from the perspective of students. The study sample was (93) students from Faculty of Physical Education at the University of Jordan in the second semester of 2007/2008 academic year. To test the hypothesis of the study a questionnaire was to build composed of items that reflect the life skills based on knowledge, which must be met in the course of gymnastics, these life skills distribute on four main dimensions (physical and motor skills, leadership skills, thinking and discovery skills, and psychological and social skills). The results showed that students gained low levels of life skills in leaning gymnastic courses (levels 1, 2 and 3). Results also showed that the highest averages recorded by respondents to the dimension of physical and motor skills, followed by thinking and discovery skills, and leadership skills, and finally the psychological and social skills. Results of the study also indicated there were significant statistical differences between male and female students, female scored higher in their point view; also, there were no statistically significant differences in the point of view of students due to academic level (from second to fourth year).
