The study followed the semi experimental method based on the experimental design of the two groups, where the sample consisted of (40) students were divided into two groups (20) A student of the experimental and the like of the control. To achieve the objective of the study, the following tools and materials were prepared: List of creative writing skills of first grade secondary students, test creative writing skills of first grade secondary students, Using the strategy based on the habits of the mind, the student worksheets to develop creative writing skills using the strategy based on the habits of the mind; the study was used: Mann Whitney test, Wilcoxson test, and calculate the magnitude of the impact in the collection and analysis of statistical data; There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the intermediate grades of the experimental group and the control group in the post application of the general skills of creative writing, creative writing skills, creative writing content skills, (0.88) in the development of creative writing skills of first-grade secondary students, a significant and significant impact.
