AU - شبيلات، كوثر جمال AB - The aim of this study was to identify the reality of the programs of linguistic immersion in Jordan and its impact on Arabic language proficiency for non-native speakers. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the descriptive analytical method. The study population is composed of all foreign students within the third and fourth levels of the Arabic Language Department for Non-Linguistic Speakers (Yarmouk University) within the first semester 2017/2018. To determine the sample of the study, a comprehensive survey method was used for all elements of the study population. The results showed that the arithmetic mean for linguistic immersion is (2.19) with a medium rating, and the arithmetic mean for language proficiency is (2.20) with a medium rating. The results also showed a statistically significant effect at the level of (α=0.05) of the linguistic immersion programs on the Arabic language proficiency for non-native speakers.
