AU - الزعبي، دعاء إبراهيم أحمد AU - أبو لاوي، أمين موسى AB - This study aimed at revealing The Degree of Evaluation Questions Compatibility of Higher Thinking in Social Studies Books for the Basic Stage in Jordan. The aim of this study is to answer the following questions: 1) What levels of thinking should be considered in the sixth grade textbooks in Jordan? 2) What is The Degree of Evaluation Questions Compatibility of Higher Thinking in Social Studies Books for the Basic Stage in Jordan? The study sample is represented by collecting all the evaluation questions in social studies books (History, Geography, National and) civic Education (for the sixth grade in Jordan, which are (203) questions. The study also used the Analysis Form achech list after assuring its validity relibity applying, also it was analyzed in light of Holsti equation, showing reached (96%), Results of the study concluded that: Evaluation questions in social studies books (History, Geography, National and civic education) focused on higher lower questions by (90%), While the evaluation questions in these books neglected the higher cognitive levels and got a percentage of only (10%).
