AU - علي، جعفر حسين AB - The effectiveness of the long jump is one of the most important athletics events attracted significant interest recently manifested in breaking world records for the event through the development of their performance on an ongoing basis as a result of research and scientific studies associated with this event. The research aims to: 1) find out the effect of using the sequential method in learning and improving the performance of the two phases of the movement of walking during the flight phase of the effectiveness of the long jump for the students. 2) Know the differences in the impact of preference for the sequential method and the method used by other teachers to learn and improve the performance of the two phases of the movement of walking during the flight of the effectiveness of the long jump for the students. The researcher used the experimental method suitability for a problem and research objectives. The sample of research (12) students from fourth grade students at the Institute of Physical Education Boukhanqan for the academic year 2011 to 2012. The researcher reached the following conclusions: 1) There is a clear evolution of the experimental group in tests of skill while the control group marked by the presence of significant differences and the level of development between the results of a simple pre and posttests in tests of skill, compared with the experimental group. 2) Characterized by experimental and control groups significant differences between the results of both tests and in favor of the experimental group in tests of skill used in the research.
