AU - الحاج، محمود أحمد عبد الكريم AB - The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of studying a course for developing thinking and learning skills on the self concept of Jeddah University Students. After the application of the tennessee Self-Concept Scale (TSCS) ona random sample of (200) students. (100) students were selected from those enrolled in the course for developing thinking and learning skills (experimental group), and (100) students from those not enrolled in that course (the control group), and after the application of the analysis of covariance (ANCOVA), and multi-covariance (MANCOVA). The results showed statistically significant differences: in self-concept at the level of (α=0.05) between control and experimental groups, in favour of the experimental group whose participants studied the course for developing thinking and learning skills.Such results indicate the efect of developing tinking and learning skills course in improving self-concept.
