AB - This study aims to achieve the following: 1) to recognize the fundamentals of parental education in light of the intellectual trends as perceived by education experts among members of teaching staff in the university as well as pioneers and leaders of general education; 2) to recognize the possibilities of any statistical differences in terms of response to joint phrases and sentences to estimate the importance of the fundamentals of parental education among the two groups of the study pioneers and leaders in general education and members of teaching staff in the universities. In this study, the researcher has employed the descriptive survey approach. To this aim, a questionnaire was used as the tool of the study. Community of the study was composed of 160 education experts from members of teaching staff in education departments in 10 universities in Saudi Arabia – together with 50 experts from education leaders in education directorates and education supervisors who hold higher academic degrees. Sample of the study was a stratified random sample, which was composed of 94 members of the community of the study. The most important findings of the study are as follows. 1) There are statistically indicative differences between the total averages of rate obtained by the sample group of University Professor and the other sample group of Education Leader/Pioneer in terms of significance of the topic Fundamentals of Parental Education in terms of Intellectual Trends among Children in favor of the sample group of Education Leader/Pioneer. 2) There are statistically indicative differences between the total averages of rate obtained by the sample group of University Professor and the other sample group of Education Leader/Pioneer in terms of significance of the topic Overall Fundamentals of Parental Education in light of Intellectual Trends among Children in favor of the sample group of Education Leader/Pioneer. The study has made a number of recommendations. Among the most important recommendations is to conduct analytical educational studies in order to recognize to what extent the fundamentals of parental education are available in the university curriculums of general subjects.
