AB - This study aims to determine the dominant mode of thinking according to Hermann brain dominance theory among the first year secondary students in Mostaganem prefecture, and check the differences in the degree of each style of thinking by gender and branch of study variable. The researcher used the analytical descriptive approach, choosing a random sample of 417 students from the school year 2014-2015. The study concluded that: - The dominance of the mode of thinking (B) in the sample of the study, then the mode (A). - There are statistically significant differences between girls and boys in the mode (C) and (D) for the benefit of girls. - There are statistically significant differences between science of technology students and literary students in the mode (A) for the benefit of scientists and the mode (C) for the benefit of literary students.
