AU - منيب، تهاني محمد عثمان AB - The teacher of the gifted and talented is a key element (cornerstone) in their care and education, so he must have a clear vision and sound beliefs that help him to understand his students and assess their potentials and know what suits their growth experiences so that he can guide these students and invest their energies to the maximum extent possible through lectures and postgraduate students, topics related to gifted students show that there are misconceptions and false beliefs about gifted and talented children. There is no doubt that the presence of such ideas among teachers will negatively affect their methods dealing with beliefs this class of students. Based on the saying the beginning of the facts in the formation of positive attitudes in terms of ideas and things and people so that researchers saw a collective pilot program that can contribute to bring about changes in the directions of the study sample through meetings and discussions and readings over a sufficient number of the sessions of preparation.to achieve this goal, the researchers designed a measure of the attitudes of general education teachers towards gifted and talented children, and adopted psychometric procedures for their account validity and stability, and then applied to the sample that selected from the postgraduate studies. They are teachers in general education that have less than this degree and have negative attitudes towards gifted and talented children. The total sample consisted of (300) teachers (males & females), 30 of whom were selected by (10) teachers (males & females) in the primary stage, (10) teachers in the preparatory stage, and (10) teachers (males & females) in the secondary stage. The researchers applied the study program to the teachers (males & females) of the sample in order to adjust their attitudes and negative ideas towards the gifted and talented children. The sessions of the program focused on the correct concepts of superiority, talent, innovation, determinants of excellence, talent and methods of detection, characteristics of talented people and others, as well as many beliefs, opinions and misconceptions about the methods of care and teaching methods and dealing with them and then modifying these attitudes where many techniques and methods were used such as lectures, the purpose of building and the exchange of experiences and the reconstruction of knowledge and presentation of educational means and some achievements of outstanding students and live examples of them. The results of the study showed after the post-measurement of the program used to modify the negative attitudes and false beliefs of primary, middle and secondary teachers towards the gifted and talented children of the experimental group.
