AU - المالكي، خالد بن جار الله AB - The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of Internet use in Internet addiction among a sample of students from the preparatory year at King Saud University, study sample consisted of 146 students from year students preparatory parallel program studying decision-learning skills, thinking and research, and was the study tool form for preliminary data of the Internet prepare researchers, and the translated picture for the Beck list for depression. The study showed: that the level of depression in students a list of Beck depression is low among students who do not use the Internet or use it in low-and medium-ranged These averages between (19.33 - 25.67), which refers to natural level of antidepressant, while showed that the level of depression in students a list of Beck depression was high among students who use the Internet are high and are too high, the average depression have (41.56, 49.21), and this demonstrates the high level of depression among students of Internet users significantly and very large. The results also showed that feeling of depression increases with hours Internet use, the relationship between these two variables is a positive relationship. The study recommended a number of recommendations including: 1) Activating the family control and direct their children towards the optimal use of the Internet. 2) Awareness and the development of religious faith and linking the use of the Internet Halal and Haram. 3) Educate and train individuals to use the Internet to illustrate the pros and cons. 4) Conduct a study on the effectiveness of the training program to educate college students on the optimal use of the Internet.
