AB - The present study aimed at investigating the effect of teaching practice in reducing teaching anxiety level and improving attitude towards teaching profession in a sample of students in college of education, Minia University. Attitude towards teaching profession scale, teaching anxiety scale and teaching practice assessment questionnaire were used to collect data. The pilot sample consisted of 227 (100 males, 127 females) while the main sample included 135 students. Results indicated statistically significant difference was found between mean scores of pre. & post anxiety scale favoring the pre. Test with too low effect size 0.08, while no statistically significant difference was found between mean scores of pre. & post professional attitude scale. This result refers to the ineffectiveness of teaching practice experiences in improving professional attitudes of student teachers. Results also showed no significant differences among the 3 groups of anxiety (low, moderate, high) in scores of teaching practice and no significant differences among the 3 groups of attitude (low, moderate, high) in scores of teaching practice in the two assessments.
