AB - The study aimed to measure the effectiveness of proposed program to employ virtual tours via web in the geography teaching for developing the dimensions of geographical literacy among preparatory school students, the study sample consisted of 47 students from the third grade preparatory students in Abou Almatamir educational administration at Abou Almatamir prep. School for girls where the study was implemented through the modules of geography curriculum at the first semester according to specific topics from the ministry of education of third preparatory grade were applicate using virtual tours via web. A test of geographical literacy among preparatory School students was built and implicated during the first semester of the 2014/2015 through experimental design depends on one group. The study found the effectiveness of the proposed program based on the virtual tours via web in developing the dimensions of the geographic literacy (map skills, the local geography, the regional geography, the world geography) which will reflect positively on the overall performance of the learner, and underlines the importance of providing suitable environment that helps to achieve this goal through the availability of good planning curriculum.
