AU - زوجي، أمينة AB - The study sought to define the impact of free time’s recreational activities on the academic achievement of First year baccalaureate’ students, through the comparison between the recreational activities of high-achieving students and their low-achieving counterparts. The study included a sample of (155) students of both sexes, enrolled in different schools in the city of Sale, Morocco. A questionnaire was used for data collection. The results showed significant statistical differences between the two groups in terms of the type of recreational activities and the time allocated to practice such activities. With regard to gender, the study showed female students practiced different recreational activities tending to home-associated ones and usually devote less time to these activities. It was concluded that recreational activities could contribute to the increase and improvement of students’ academic achievement, provided that these activities be practiced under the supervision of both family and school and should not interfere with students’ homework.
