AB - The key purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between the scientific achievement level in mathematics for students of elementary grades 1 and 4 who are enrolled in pre-school and their colleagues who are not enrolled in such educational level. To achieve the above purpose, the researcher applied two achievement tests in mathematics on two samples of 152 students of elementary grades 1 and 4. The study came to the conclusion that there are statistically significant differences at the level (0.01) on average scientific achievement in mathematics between the two student groups of elementary grade 1 in favor of the students of first group who were enrolled in preschool (kindergarten). In addition, the study concluded that there are no statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) on average scientific achievement in mathematics between the two student groups of elementary grade 4. The study recommended that ministry of education should take necessary actions to increase the number of governmental and private preschools (KGS) in the KSA, provide tangible educational means in elementary education level, and support early grades of the elementary education level with more prominent mathematics teachers. The study also recommended that mathematics teachers of the elementary level employ tangible educational means and appropriate teaching strategies, particularly for students of elementary grade 1 who had not the opportunity to be enrolled a preschool.
