AB - The study aims at investigating the effect of using bolia strategy in teaching verbal mathematics matter on the eighth grade students to solve it in the north – east directorate of education schools in accordance with the variables of sex, the teaching method and the interaction between them. The study sample consists of (105) female and male students of the eighth grade in north – east directorate of education schools. The sample was chosen randomly. To achieve the purpose of the study, an achievement test was prepared concerning the unit of liner matter systems from the eighth grade math's book of the government schools in Jordan. The test consists of 6 questions which take into consideration the students, partial knowledge. T-test was used to analyze data. The study results showed the following: 1) There are statistically ignificant differences at (α=0,05) in students, ability to solve the matter due to the effect of sex in favour of male students. 2) There are statistically significant differences at (α=0,05) in students, ability to solve the matter due to the method of teaching in favour of teaching which follows the suggested strategy. 3) There are no statistically significant differences at (α=0,05) in students, ability to solve the matter due to the effect of interaction between sex and the method of teaching.
