AU - عشابي، هناء عوض محمد نقد AB - This study aimed at identifying the status of using virtual classrooms in distance learning programs at Open University of Sudan from the teaching staff's point of view. The descriptive analytical method was used. The population of the study consisted of teachers who worked in academic backup, designers and guider, which had attended in four centers included the headquarter, Khartoum, North Khartoum, and Omdurman Center. To achieve the objectives of the study, the questionnaire was designed and distributed to a random sample which consisted of (65) subjects who represented the population. By following the appropriate statistical methods, the data were analyzed using the statistical package for the social science (SPSS). The study concluded the following results: The importance of using virtual class rooms in the programs of distance learning in the Sudanese Universities. There were no statistically significance differences at the level (0.05 ) between responses of the sample at Open University of Sudan staff about using the virtual class rooms in the programs of distance learning due to the experience and specialization variables. There are difficulties which prevented the use of virtual classrooms in distance learning program at Open University of Sudan.
