AB - The aim of the study was to investigate the actual use of the Web 2.0 applications by the faculty at Majma’ah University in their teaching activities and how often they use them. The study questionnaire has been administrated to 78 faculty members in four faculties at Majma’ah University. The questionnaire included 39 applications constitute the most Web 2.0 commonly used and effective tools, which have been identified by the author through the literature review. The results showed that 6 applications were of an average use, namely: (YouTube, Slide share, Blogger, Twitter, Facebook & Google Drive). On the other hand, 5 applications were of a low use, including: Notely, Skype, Myspace, Google Apps Education Edition, Flickr) whereas 28 applications were almost never used. The results also showed that the most commonly used application fields were: video sharing, exams, activities, communication, and discussion. The most commonly used applications were: Blogger, YouTube, Facebook, Google Drive, Twitter, Flickr, Google Apps Education Edition, Myspace successivel. The results further showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the faculty members’ opinions of the degree of employing Web 2.0 applications according to the faculty variable (science/ humanities) and the gender variable (male/female).
