AB - The study aimed at evaluating the science book for the 1st year intermediate grade and the extent to which it includes the skills of reflective thinking in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study population consisted of the first part of the science book for the 1st year intermediate grade in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is applied in the academic year (1437/1438). It is divided into three units, each contains 6 lessons. The study sample consisted of all the lessons included in the first part of the science book for the 1st year intermediate grade, which are (14) lessons. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher designed a tool which is a list of the skills of reflective thinking that should be included in the science book for the 1st year intermediate grade, and then converted to a content analysis card, and its validity was approved by a group of specialized arbitrators. Its reliability was calculated by using Holistic equation. The statistical analysis used the following methods; frequencies, percentages and arithmetic averages. The results of the study showed that the science book included the skills of reflective thinking in general. However, the inclusion of these skills is variant. It included the following skills respectively: visual vision, detection of fallacies, reaching conclusions, providing explanations, and suggesting solutions. The study reached several recommendations and research suggestions related to the study variables.
